Starhaus Entertainment revealed recently that Lee Min Ho will be the only foreign actor at the awards ceremony that is organized by China’s biggest search engine, Baidu.com, and famous stars like Jackie Chan, Li Bingbing, and others will also be in attendance.
Lee Min Ho has seen his popularity skyrocket overseas thanks to dramas like ‘Boys Over Flowers’, ‘Personal Preference’, ‘City Hunter’, and his most recent work, ‘The Heirs’.
A Baidu official said, “Lee Min Ho has a huge following based on our website search engine history and a stable fan base. His popularity is really sky high in China, and he is the most sought after celebrity for events in China, including local and foreign celebrities.
‘The Heirs’ has been viewed more than 11 billion times through 8 major video sharing websites in China including Youku.com, and the drama is also top among Korean dramas on Baidu.com. Lee Min Ho’s dramas are also ranked in the Top 12, and testament to his sky high popularity.
After concluding his Innisfree promotional event in Singapore recently, Lee Min Ho will next fly off to Shanghai to film a commercial, before attending the ‘2013 Baidu The Hottest Awards’ on December 22nd in Beijing. Lee Min Ho will also hold an encore performance of his global fan meeting tour ‘My Everything’ on January 18 of next year at Seoul’s Olympic Park Handball Stadium.
